The following guidelines will ensure faster turnaround
and better output from your digital files. If you need further support,

What we can print from:
Adobe InDesign, QuarkXpress, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator,
Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Pagemaker, CorelDraw, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Powerpoint, Microsoft
Excel and more (call our technical support staff if you are unsure of
your application). We can print from other digital document as long as
the application can output a PostScript file or
a print quality PDF file. We can also scan from
hardcopies.
Graphics:
All raster images must be scanned at a minimum resolution of 200 ppi at
reproduction size. For example, if you have a graphic placed into your
application at 155%, the graphic must be at least 310 ppi (200 ppi multiplied
by 155%). Recommended image resolution is 300 ppi at reproduction size.
Vector images can be scaled without losing any image quality.
How to set up your file:
You need to set up your files to maximize printing on a sheet. Depending
on the page size, stock and quantity, you need to set up your files differently.
The best thing to do is to check with us before starting on the project
so that we may provide advice and guidance and save you a lot of headaches
and money if the file was not set up properly. We will gladly impose the
files for you. File handling fees may apply.
Variable data :
A variable data job is designed just like other print projcts by using a standard graphic software package suich as Adobe InDesign. Wherever a variable element is needed, simply place one sample of the possible text or graphic in the spot. When finished, mark all variable elements with a descriptive name. All variable elements (pieces of text or links to a graphic file) are placed within a database (or spreadsheet). Each column represents a different variable field in the document. The first row should be used to title the columns using the same names you marked on the graphic file. Each row after the the title row represents a unique finished document. Once we have all the files, our prepress professionals will link your document to the database. Pages will be assembled on the fly as variable elements from each row are placed within the document file and printed.
Stock and imaging specifications:
We are able to print up to 12" x 18" with full bleeds. Maximum
imageable area is 12.4" x 18.9" and maximum sheet size is 12.6"
x 19.2" (note that this is not applicable to all stocks and stock
handling fees may apply). Maximum stock weight is 300gsm (approximately
14pt cover). Regardless of sheet size, all sheets will have a 0.25"
border without printing.
